Kitchell completed a 150,000 SF renovation of the Banner University Medical Center 1441 building, transforming the space to accommodate diverse functions, including upgraded dental services, academic classrooms, IT support space, a data center, and a new pharmacy.

The complex renovation required extensive planning to relocate integral departments during construction, including the 300 employees across 14 operating departments. The most challenging of the moves was the Transplant Department, which was previously in multiple suites and various buildings before moving into the new consolidated space. Kitchell successfully moved these departments without accidents and ahead of the Owner’s estimated schedule.
