When you are part of Kitchell’s Intern Academy, you have the opportunity to learn about building processes encompassing everything from estimating to operations. Every summer we hire interns from construction engineering programs throughout the country, as well as candidates who fill important support roles on our project teams.

Several of our employee-owners began their careers with Kitchell as interns, working on projects and engaging with our culture through the summer months. Oftentimes this gives someone just enough time to get a feel for Kitchell as a permanent workplace post-graduation.

Real project experience

Our interns get real-world experience by joining job teams on active projects, embedding with teams working on public programs and taking an active role in jobsite operations.
