A new $126.7 million, 217,074 SF, 822 bed, Type II (medium-maximum) jail facility on the existing Kern County Correctional Campus. The project includes three separate buildings consisting of three medium security housing pods, one special housing pod, visitation area, inmate property storage, infirmary (medical and mental health services), support services area, staff area, administrative offices, central plant. The project is funded through AB 900 and utilized the design-build delivery method.
